1The Fight

The fight that everyone has been so interested in is finally becoming a reality.

In plans for over a year, the UFC legend Conor McGregor vs. boxing world superstar Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is now official. The fight is slated to go down on August 26th 2017 in Las Vegas. The fighters have agreed to the rules of 154 pound weight-class and fighting with 10-ounce gloves. This fight is months out and already gaining international attention. The betting is expected to be astronomical in stature.

McGregor History and Odds

Conor McGregor’s last win came in defeating Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205. It was after this fight that the rumor started to swirl about the possible clash between him and boxing super-star Floyd Mayweather. As the drama grew so too did the odds being set for the fight. The initial odds, to no ones surprise, opened with Mayweather as the massive favorite, coming in at -2250, with McGregor odds on the other side at +950. These odds were dropped before the fight was even official and were so insane that obviously the were subject to scrutiny and eventual change.

Official and Current Odds

The day that the fight was officially announced as ‘on’ saw McGregor’s odds come back at +500 and Mayweather’s dropped down to -800 making a more realistic spread for a fight of this magnitude. As this article is being written the odds now stand at Mayweather -735 and McGregor +515 and changing often as press releases come out or trash-talking of different sorts surfaces. Although the odds are ever changing up until the first bell, one thing not changing is the fact that this is going to be one fight to surely go down in history.
